Eso acab\u00f3 haciendo un d\u00eda <strong>Fabi\u00e1n Guerrero<\/strong> cuando se vio contra la pared amenazado por su propia sombra. Su barrio era bravo, sus amistades peligrosas y los vicios el pan de cada d\u00eda, hasta que milagrosamente pudo distinguir el peligro y decidi\u00f3 que hab\u00eda llegado la hora de dar vuelta. A pesar de que entonces no corr\u00eda tan r\u00e1pido, huy\u00f3 como los valientes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"Poromisin\">Todav\u00eda no cumpl\u00eda 30 a\u00f1os cuando comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en turno completo en el <strong>Hospital \u00c1ngeles<\/strong> en el \u00e1rea de dietas. Su trabajo consist\u00eda en llevar a los enfermos su comida, repart\u00eda diariamente cientos de charolas con platos a los que nadie que est\u00e9 en su sano juicio aplaude. Y fue ah\u00ed en la habitaci\u00f3n de alg\u00fan paciente con diagn\u00f3stico reservado, donde la visi\u00f3n de Fabi\u00e1n cambi\u00f3 al darse cuenta de lo que muchas veces desde\u00f1amos: esto un d\u00eda se acaba.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Poromisin\">Apenas terminaba su jornada, este joven de 1.85 m. y piernas largas como de gacela, sal\u00eda presuroso con una torta en la mochila hacia a los campos de la Subestaci\u00f3n, cerca de su casa por la Magdalena Contreras, donde daba algunas vueltas para acondicionarse para el futbol. Una tarde encontr\u00f3 ah\u00ed a su padre, quien gustaba de correr con un grupo de amigos, mismos que enseguida notaron algo distinto en las imponentes zancadas de Fabi\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Poromisin\">Lo convencieron de probar suerte en la carrera de monta\u00f1a de Santa Rosa, donde figuraban incluso kenianos como <strong>Julius Keter<\/strong> o <strong>Hillary Kimaiyo<\/strong> como parte de su preparaci\u00f3n atl\u00e9tica dado lo duro del recorrido. Sorprendentemente, Fabi\u00e1n qued\u00f3 en en sexto lugar con 36 minutos en diez kil\u00f3metros.
