El fin de semana, mientras le\u00eda \u201cDe qu\u00e9 hablo cuando hablo de correr\u201d de Haruki Murakami, revivi\u00f3 en m\u00ed la esperanza de correr el Marat\u00f3n de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico este domingo. Hace justo un mes, en el medio marat\u00f3n, me lesion\u00e9 la rodilla tras decidir no detenerme a pesar de un dolor que ya tra\u00eda y con el que me empecin\u00e9 en correr la mejor carrera y la que m\u00e1s he disfrutado en mi corta vida en estos trotes (dar clic aqu\u00ed para la rese\u00f1a).<\/a><\/div>\n

Bueno, pues adem\u00e1s de que me sent\u00eda mucho mejor, a cada p\u00e1rrafo del libro me llenaba m\u00e1s de energ\u00eda, fuerza y deseos de participar y completar los segundos 42.195 kil\u00f3metros de mi vida (dar clic aqu\u00ed para leer acerca de los primeros)<\/a>. Luego de cuatro eternas semanas de reposo, apenas este lunes mi doctor me dio luz verde para probar cuatro kil\u00f3metros. Y me fue bien, aunque acab\u00e9 con cierta sensaci\u00f3n justo del lado izquierdo de la rodilla, en la banda iliotibial.<\/p>\n

No obstante, por si acaso, le ped\u00ed a mi esposa \u2013quien, por cierto, correr\u00e1 32 kil\u00f3metros junto con sus amigas corredoras\u2013 que incluyera varias pastas y pescado en el men\u00fa de la semana, para aquello de los carbohidratos. Pero la verdad es que se ve\u00eda muy lejana no s\u00f3lo la meta sino la posibilidad de cruzar la l\u00ednea de salida.<\/p>\n

Hoy volv\u00ed a correr cuatro kil\u00f3metros y no me fue mal. De hecho, estuve mejor que el martes, pero no estoy para un marat\u00f3n, lo cual me tiene frustrado y de mal humor pues espere el anhelado momento durante 365 d\u00edas. La vida es incierta, aunque la mayor\u00eda de las veces somos nosotros los que provocamos las situaciones que la vuelven as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Si me hubiera cuidado haci\u00e9ndole caso a mi cuerpo, estar\u00eda listo para el domingo.<\/p>\n

Todav\u00eda hace rato pens\u00e9 en cometer una locura, una haza\u00f1a de esas que me gusta incluir en mis pel\u00edculas mentales en las que personifico todo tipo de h\u00e9roes. \u201c\u00a1Se\u00f1oras y se\u00f1ores, entramos a los \u00faltimos dos kil\u00f3metros de la m\u00e1xima prueba del atletismo! \u00a1F.J. Koloffon viene a toda velocidad, paso a paso con los africanos, la gente lo anima y lo vitorea! \u00a1Puede ser, por fin puede ser que nuevamente un mexicano se corone en el marat\u00f3n de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico! \u00a1Es una carrera \u00e9pica y recordemos, por si fuera poco, que interrumpi\u00f3 su entrenamiento hace cuatro semanas por una lesi\u00f3n en la rodilla! \u00a1Es incre\u00edble que lo veamos correr a este ritmo, en esta forma, es una locura! \u00a1Se\u00f1oras y se\u00f1ores, gr\u00e1bense bien este momento!<\/p>\n

Desafortunadamente esta vez ser\u00e9 un espectador. Nada m\u00e1s espero que un loco de verdad, un mexicano, surja de la nada y s\u00ed haga realidad su pel\u00edcula, su gran sue\u00f1o, porque yo estar\u00e9 ah\u00ed, un par de kil\u00f3metros antes de la meta, donde el a\u00f1o pasado me espero mi familia, euf\u00f3rico, gritando con todas mis fuerzas para que no ceda y gane. Voy a impulsarlo. \u00a1Vamos!<\/p>\n

Como dice Murakami: no existe en ninguna parte del mundo real nada tan bello como las fantas\u00edas que alberga quien ha perdido la cordura.<\/p>\n

Ni modo, maratones habr\u00e1n muchos, cuerpos no, hasta la pr\u00f3xima vida.<\/p>\n
