Sin embargo, se trata tambi\u00e9n de espacios donde encontramos el sabor de la vida. La mesa de un restaurante, para quienes tenemos la fortuna de ir ah\u00ed a disfrutar con la familia, no es una simple tabla. Est\u00e1n el <strong>Soldier Field<\/strong>, casa de los <strong>Chicago Bears<\/strong>, o el <strong>United Center<\/strong>, cancha de los <strong>Chicago Bulls<\/strong> y escenario de conciertos musicales legendarios. El n\u00famero 550 de la emblem\u00e1tica <strong>Avenida Michigan<\/strong>, correspondiente al <strong>Hotel Intercontinental<\/strong>, no solo aloja turistas. En el piso 14 hospeda una alberca ol\u00edmpica, una de las m\u00e1s bellas del mundo. En sus m\u00e1s de 3.5 millones de litros de agua entren\u00f3 durante cuatro a\u00f1os <strong>Johnny Weissm\u00fcller<\/strong>, deportista y actor estadounidense (de origen austr\u00edaco), para los <strong>Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Par\u00eds de 1924<\/strong>, en los que se alz\u00f3 con tres medallas de oro. Si uno camina frente a ellos quiz\u00e1 no se percate de aquello que los vuelve \u00fanicos en el mundo, pero basta con alzar la mirada para descubrirlo: los propietarios montaron butacas en las azoteas para que los aficionados vean los partidos a precios mucho m\u00e1s asequibles que dentro del estadio. La vista no es mala, se aprecia la totalidad del diamante y \u00fanicamente se pierde parte del jard\u00edn. Por si fuera poco, el precio del boleto incluye alimentos y bebidas sin l\u00edmite, y cuentan las malas lenguas que, hasta antes del triunfo de los Cubs en la <strong>Serie Mundial de 2016<\/strong>, a eso iba a la gente: a olvidarse del beisbol. Tras lo que fueran extravagantes aparadores, ahora sobresalen varias tiendas vac\u00edas. Es claro que no todo siempre sube, hay ca\u00eddas, la econom\u00eda est\u00e1 deprimida, y las personas. Mucha gente se vino abajo y no ha conseguido mantenerse en pie, aunque \u2014como el <strong>Rocket Man<\/strong>\u2014 varios mexicanos que trabajan aqu\u00ed me aseguran que habr\u00e1n de hacerlo de nuevo.
