Podr\u00edamos decir que el a\u00f1o ha terminado. Si habl\u00e1ramos en t\u00e9rminos deportivos \u2014como lo requiere esta secci\u00f3n del peri\u00f3dico\u2014, nos encontrar\u00edamos en los minutos de compensaci\u00f3n de un partido de futbol cuyo resultado ya poco puede cambiar. No queda la esperanza de una sorpresa. A estas alturas podemos decir, sin miedo a equivocarnos, si ganamos o perdimos. O si quedamos a mano.<\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos golpes les puso la vida? \u00bfCayeron de bruces al suelo en estos 365 d\u00edas? \u00bfCu\u00e1ntas veces se levantaron? \u00bfLibraron los obst\u00e1culos? \u00bfAlzaron los brazos al cielo? \u00bfC\u00f3mo acaban el a\u00f1o, apreciados amigos?: \u00bftristes, motivados, hartos, sin consuelo, adoloridos pero intactos, con ilusi\u00f3n, satisfechos, enojados, ebrios, serenos? No fue un a\u00f1o f\u00e1cil casi para nadie, pocos pueden presumir que les haya ido como al Canelo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pero antes de pronunciar su veredicto, det\u00e9nganse un instante a pensar qu\u00e9 significa realmente ganar y perder.<\/p>\n

El domingo corr\u00ed el Medio Marat\u00f3n de la CDMX<\/strong> y, unos metros despu\u00e9s de la meta, me encontr\u00e9 a varios conocidos. Entre ellos una amiga que lleg\u00f3 todav\u00eda jadeando, aunque plet\u00f3rica. \u00ab\u00a1\u00bfC\u00f3mo te fue?!\u00bb, le preguntaron en medio de la emoci\u00f3n de todos los que concluimos los veinti\u00fan y pico de kil\u00f3metros. \u00ab\u00a1Te ves muy bien \u00a1Y enflacaste mucho, \u00bfverdad?!\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Ella explic\u00f3 que no era s\u00f3lo a causa de la preparaci\u00f3n para la carrera, sino de que acababa de pasar recientemente por el quir\u00f3fano. \u00abEntre la cirug\u00eda y entre que unos d\u00edas antes romp\u00ed con Perengano, entre que sigo sin chamba y esto no repunta, pues s\u00ed, llevo varios kilos\u00bb. Cualquiera dir\u00eda que, en efecto, acababa de recibir una paliza, pero la mujer sonre\u00eda como si acabara de romper el r\u00e9cord del evento.<\/p>\n

\u00abBueno, pero hoy corriste muy bien\u00bb, le respond\u00ed espont\u00e1neamente y acto seguido un amigo suyo solt\u00f3 una carcajada y un comentario tan ir\u00f3nico como sincero: \u00ab\u00a1El mundo se cae a pedazos pero hoy corriste muy bien, ja ja ja\u00a1\u00bb. Y en ese instante as\u00ed tal cual parec\u00eda, pues est\u00e1bamos ah\u00ed, euf\u00f3ricos, y nada m\u00e1s.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Me queda claro que la felicidad no es una colecci\u00f3n de momentos, ni un balance entre lo malo y lo bueno donde el saldo es necesariamente positivo. Tampoco es el predominio del brillo respecto de lo oscuro, no. La felicidad, a mi parecer, es ese santiam\u00e9n muy particular que te devela que has hecho lo correcto y que seguiste el camino que te da sentido, esa senda donde se encuentra la certeza fugaz de querer seguir. Porque, finalmente, ah\u00ed est\u00e1 la victoria, en el deseo de continuar a pesar de la incertidumbre.<\/p>\n
