Recuerdo hace cerca de 17 a\u00f1os, cuando en la sobremesa de su cumplea\u00f1os le entregu\u00e9 de regalo un engargolado de unas 250 p\u00e1ginas. Cuando lo vio se le ilumin\u00f3 el rostro y me dijo: \u00ab\u00a1Oh, tu tesis de la maestr\u00eda de criminolog\u00eda!, \u00a1qu\u00e9 gran regalo me das, Paqu\u00edn!\u00bb.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cuando lo abri\u00f3 y lo hoje\u00f3 y se percat\u00f3 de que m\u00e1s bien se trataba de mi primera novela, que llevaba escribiendo varios a\u00f1os a escondidas, no supo bien qu\u00e9 decir.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00c9l siempre quiso que fuera abogado o contador o economista, y le cost\u00f3 mucho procesar la noticia de que yo deseaba dedicarme a escribir y a contar historias.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, en mi casa, me pregunt\u00f3: \u00ab\u00bfComo cu\u00e1nto cuesta convertir ese engargolado en un libro bien impreso?\u00bb. Y as\u00ed fue que me pag\u00f3 la primera edici\u00f3n de mil ejemplares de mi primer libro.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As\u00ed fue mi pap\u00e1, le costaba un poco de trabajo hacerse a la idea de las cosas que se sal\u00edan de sus planes, pero al final le ganaba el amor y te apoyaba con todo el coraz\u00f3n y con todos los recursos a su alcance. Tuve un padre muy generoso que me amaba con su alma.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
