Acabo de perder mi sudadera favorita. A mis 43 a\u00f1os. Como si tuviera ocho, en la primaria, donde extravi\u00e9 loncheras, chamarras, mochilas. Lo \u00fanico bueno de perder cosas a estas alturas de la vida es que nadie te rega\u00f1a. Bueno, las esposas, cuando se levantan crey\u00e9ndose tu mam\u00e1 o si lo perdido fue un regalo suyo.<\/p>\n

Me acuerdo la vez que no encontr\u00e9 una peque\u00f1a navaja suiza azul que me trajo mi pap\u00e1 de un viaje de trabajo. Volte\u00e9 la casa y no apareci\u00f3. Viv\u00ed d\u00edas de angustia. Perd\u00ed un poco el sue\u00f1o. Seguido me preguntaba por la maldita navaja y yo fing\u00eda demencia. Luego pasaban meses y volv\u00eda a acordarse. Hasta que se le olvid\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Desde entonces yo me promet\u00ed nunca rega\u00f1ar a mis hijos por tonter\u00edas. Ni por ensuciar los sillones, ni por perder navajas suizas, ni por sacarse cincos. Pero, s\u00ed, con los a\u00f1os de repente se pierde tambi\u00e9n la memoria \u2014como una sudadera\u2014, y un d\u00eda, inevitablemente, sacas a ese ogro de tus adentros y te conviertes en el malo del cuento.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No es preciso decir que perd\u00ed la sudadera. Empezaba a sentirse el fr\u00edo oto\u00f1al y sal\u00ed muy temprano de la casa, m\u00e1s abrigado de lo habitual. Despu\u00e9s de dos vueltas al circuito donde corro habitualmente, me dio calor, me la quit\u00e9 y la amarr\u00e9 a un \u00e1rbol. Al d\u00eda siguiente, mientras la buscaba en el caj\u00f3n con los tenis ya puestos, at\u00e9 cabos en mi cabeza: nunca la recog\u00ed.<\/p>\n

R\u00e1pido corr\u00ed al Vivero. No estaba, nadie la report\u00f3, nadie la ten\u00eda, hab\u00eda desaparecido. Mi sudadera negra, la favorita, un regalo \u2014s\u00ed\u2014 de mi mujer. Es incre\u00edble c\u00f3mo se ha perdido la educaci\u00f3n y la honradez. Incluso, el miedo de la gente a que la vean robar.<\/p>\n

Ayer mi hijo tuvo partido de futbol a las fr\u00edas siete de la ma\u00f1ana y pens\u00e9 en mi sudadera. Me dio coraje, aunque m\u00e1s haber perdido 3-2 cuando ten\u00edamos el juego en las manos. A veces las cosas que tenemos en las manos igual las perdemos, lo mismo que la raz\u00f3n, los amigos, el sentido, los boletos de estacionamiento, la salud o los perros. Nada es para siempre, ni siquiera el miedo. Basta un solo regate para que un ni\u00f1o lo pierda y s\u00fabitamente conf\u00ede que puede burlar a tres, a cinco y meter el gran gol.<\/p>\n

Hubiera querido perder la mesura y festejar como un loco. Sin embargo, perdimos y nos eliminaron. Perdimos la confianza desde que nos ganaron el segundo partido del torneo. Y tampoco es tan grave, no es para perder los papeles, no es como perder el n\u00famero de tel\u00e9fono del amor de tu vida, o un avi\u00f3n o la ilusi\u00f3n de despertar. Hay d\u00edas para perder sudaderas y partidos.<\/p>\n
